Teaching Experience for English

As a Primary School Teacher in both Australia and the United States for 20+ years, I have worked at every grade level from kindergarten through 7th grade and taught just about every subjects that were is. I could choose them all. I believe in doing whatever it takes to help your child both be successful at school, and enjoy what they are doing. I believe in a play based approach to learning and after sitting in a classroom all day, most of your children are wanting to learn through games without even knowing that they are actually learning. I like to get in contact with the teachers of children I work with so that I can get a picture of your child's strengths to build off, and weaknesses to build upon. I have a child with ADHD so understand the challenges of working with children who fall behind simplybecause they don't learn the way that traditional school may teach them. I am willing to work with you to help your child develop the confidence they need to walk into school knowing that they know how to think and can be successful at whatever they need to do. I am happy to help with homework, take the load off you and help your child get ahead. I am currently working as a grade4 teacher until the end of the year and am happy to work after school or on weekends, in hours that suit your and your child. I am currently studying my masters so there are some days that I am unavailable. I have a breadth of experience in every subject area, including being a national level swimmer who coached and swam in the US with a high school swim team. I have taught babies through adults how to swim and include that as an extra skill for those looking for a swimming teacher on top of everything else. Feel free to contact me if there is anything else you would like to know. Take care, Jennifers ss

Teaching Experience for Swimming

Swimmer since the age of 4, competing. I began teaching swimming to babies through adults at the age of 15 and ran both in school and vacation swimming lessons for the Royal Life Saving Association and Education Department. I coached a high schools swim team in the United States for 3 years and had three students go on to receive scholarships for swimming at top Universities in the United States. Having had a brother who drowned at the age of 3, I believe that all children in Western Australia should have the knowledge and ability to save themselves if they fall into a swimming pool at any age, and have the ability to coach children who want to go on and become champion club swimmers. I, myself, was coached by an Olympic Gold Medalist and I know that inspired me to achieve as much as I did in my swimming career.
