I've assisted in many life drawing, and various other drawing classes that unleash creativity. With these classes, I've learnt that every student is very different. The idea is to allow students to forget what they know about drawing, and to think of it more as a reference to what's in front of them.
Abstract painting to me, is to unleash your ultimate creative drive. It's always best to see abstraction as a way to make something imperfect, and to turn it into something good. I've learnt, and taught before at workshops about painting surreal, and abstract. It's about finding the meaning from within, and playing around.
I was a sculpture major, who worked a lot with wood construction. My work is reminiscent (in an odd way) of Andy Goldsworthy. In my previous days teaching this to others, I've taught people the wonders of collage with materials that work beyond paper. Wood, steel, anything.
I'm able to teach the basics of writing, conducting a proper sentence with proper grammar and punctuation. As well as analysing texts and general essay writing.

I'm a writer studying my MFA at NIDA, as a playwright, and general storyteller. I'm happy to teach the fundamentals of dramatic arts to students, help with HSC texts and plays. I've also assisted previously with directing for non-funded shows that have been on stage, thus, I am happy with character building.
