Teaching Experience for Music Theory
52 hours

I have been a dedicated music student for just over 7 years currently. I completed Music 1 in the 2019 HSC - receiving a Band 6 result joining the Honour Roll, and have carried my passion for music into University now studying a Bachelor of Creative Arts & a Bachelor of Science at the University of Wollongong.

With 6 years of past experience in the Highschool Music system, my knowledge extends from the fundamentals all the way through to in-depth music analysis (which is a key component in the HSC paper) and all in all is an important skill to equip yourself with as a musician.

As a Senior Music student at my Highschool I took on a minor theoretical and performance teaching role by helping out the primary school children within their band sectionals, It involved me going over music fundamentals which would contribute to their performance skills as budding musicians.

The fundamentals of Music Theory encompass elements including Note Duration, Note Recognition, The Staff, Clefs and Ledger Lines, Rest Duration, Ties, Dots and Slur's, Steps and also Accidentals. Basic score and Music analysis is introduced in the lower Highschool year groups.

As the learning journey continues we will go over more complicated aspects of musical elements including but not limited to; Rhythm and Meter, Scales and Key Signatures, Chords + (diatonic) , Intervals (both Minor and Major), Chord Progression, Scoring and In Depth music Analysis.

With 6 years of past experience in the Highschool Music system, my knowledge of presenting a well rehearsed and constructed performance is extensive.

As a Senior Music student at my Highschool I took on a minor performance and theoretical teaching role by helping out the primary school children within their band sectionals, It involved me going over music fundamentals which would improve their performance skills as budding musicians.

The fundamentals of music performance is well accompanied by an understanding of Music Theory. Music Theory is an essential element which will help you grow as a musician, it will help you present your work in a professional and well constructed manner which will allow you to develop into a well rounded musician.

Completing the HSC I chose to present 3 performances to which practice was essential alongside Music Theory. Practice within Music Performance is important in order to feel confident enough in yourself so that you may share your best skills in front of others. It also makes you feel more accomplished knowing that you were able to prepare as much as you possibly could towards the performance.

Teaching Experience for Flute
45 hours

I have been a dedicated music student for just over 7 years currently. I completed Music 1 in the 2019 HSC - receiving a Band 6 result joining the Honour Roll, and have carried my passion for music into University now studying a Bachelor of Creative Arts & a Bachelor of Science at The University of Wollongong.

As a Flautist I myself was apart of multiple ensembles during my time in Highschool, consisting of Classical, Jazz, Popular Romantic, Irish and Spanish genre featured song choices.

Flute was my first instrument which I have been playing now for 7 years. I have contributed some of my time as a musician to undergo grading, my most recent result; AMEB Grade 4 Flute 2018 High Distinction (I discontinued grading due to availability and time management)

I am a tutored student and have been for the entire 7 years, although my personal tutoring is on hold currently I would like to make myself available to share my knowledge of the Flute to fellow instrumentalists.

Teaching Experience for Alpine skiing

I have had experience in Snow Skiing for just over 16 years currently, and I have loved every bit of it.
I have been an Alpine Ski Racer for 8 years, but in the last 3 years have progressed into Elite Ski Race Training as apart of Thredbo Ski Racing Club (TSRC)

Seasonally I train in Thredbo NSW Aus with TSRC 12 hrs On-Snow weekly from Late June until Mid September, including 17 days during the School Term Winter Break. I have represented my past Highschool at a National Level, My Club at multiple one day national events, and my country (Australia) within International Competitions in both NSW and VIC. Throughout my time as a Snow Ski Racer I have also been fortunate enough to have received the SWSAS Future Star Scholarship 2019-2020, Received an invite to the Winter Youth Olympic Games 2020 and been selected to be apart of The University of Wollongong's Elite Athlete Scheme.

When I get the chance I provide friends and relatives with feedback and exercises in order for them to develop as a skier, tailored to their level of experience as well as stature. My aim this season (the unknown permitting) is to undergo my APSI Level 1 - 2 instructors course, due to my experience as a Skier the assessment may be fast tracked.

Overseas in Japan. Niseko, Hokkaido I yearly meet up and train with the local Moiwa Ski Race School where I share my personal knowledge as an Australian Skier to that of the Racers at Moiwa Ski Resort. By sharing knowledge of how we each condition our bodies as Skiers it allows us to develop our all round skill as sportsmen and sportswomen and creates a supportive sporting environment for all ages and levels.
