MELBOURNE VIC 3000
Medical Student @ The University of Melbourne tutoring Bio, Chem, English.
Biology; Chemistry; English Standard
I am a graduate of the Bachelor of Biomedicine at The University of Melbourne with a First Class Honours grade (majoring in Neuroscience), a current MD student, and also undertaking research within Neuroscience. I tutor primary/secondary school and university-level subjects in Biology, Chemistry, and English. For Biology and Chemistry, I take a holistic approach where I consider the topic at hand both in isolation, but also in relation to a broader context. This facilitates a mind-map which is not only functional for understanding the current concept without memorisation, but allows it to be built upon and enriched in subsequent subjects. For English essays, I use my students' unique writing style to their advantage. More often than not, minor alterations are all it takes to transform an average essay into an exemplary one. I have great passion for each of the subjects that I tutor, meaning that I am personally invested in my students' progress and their overall understanding.
PARKVILLE VIC 3052
First year biomedical science student and experienced english tutor
English Studies; Chemistry; Biology; English Standard; English Extension; Ancient History; History Extension; Modern History; Geography; English Advanced
I am a first year UNI student (biomedical science) with a passion for literature and creative writing. I completed my literary theory course during high school and tutored junior school students throughout. I am a patient and enthusiastic teacher and work well with children. My current experience is primarily with school children in grades 1-7, however I am looking to expand into tutoring high school students. I employ real life scenarios and interactive examples in my teaching in order to draw out students and engage them with the work. It's a well known fact that children are far more reciprocal to subject matter which they are legitimately interested in, so the majority of my teaching methods are based around games and creative exercises; reinforcing material through visual, aural, physical and verbal stimuli.

PERTH WA 6000
UNSW Medical Student
Mathematics; Biology; English; Yoga; Chinese; Chemistry; Anatomy; Meditation
I am currently a Year 2 Medical student from UNSW. I finished Year 11 in Singapore, my home country, then came over to Sydney for UNSW Foundation Studies, which is the equivalent of Year 12 / HSC. I then took a couple of gap years, which includes working as a High School Tutor and Clinical Assistant, obtaining some certifications like Diploma in Beauty Therapy and 200Hour Yoga Teacher, Certified, studied at USyd for 1 semester before coming over to settle down at UNSW to study medicine. Throughout these years, even though I’ve been changing paths and passions, one of it remained the same, which is tutoring high school and secondary school students. I really enjoy helping others, and being able to see them feeling more confident in themselves, be it academically or their overall well-being, gives me a sense of accomplishment. I myself had received tuition in the past, in order to get to where I am today, hence I want to pass down my knowledge and skills to others, helping them as well.
